What are the minimum requirements to rent a vehicle?
• Minimum age for renting vehicles: 21 years old.
• A driver’s license validly issued by the driver’s country of origin, or an international driver’s license.
• Minimum rental duration: 1 day.
What documentation do I need to present to rent a vehicle?
The following documentation will be requested upon vehicle pick-up.
Chilean citizens must present:
Valid Driver’s License
National Identity Card (Cédula Nacional de Identidad)
Guarantee via Credit Card using the Pin Pass system for possible rental add-ons (The guarantee hold amount is $850,000)
Foreign citizens must present:
Driver’s License from the country of origin or an International Driver’s License.
Passport, ID, or identity card validly issued by the country of origin.

Can I get a refund for prepaid reservations? / Can I recover the amount for prepaid reservations?
• To receive a full refund of the reservation prepayment, should the reservation no longer be required, the cancellation must be made at least 48 hours before the agreed vehicle pick-up time.
• If the cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the vehicle pick-up time, the equivalent cost of 1 rental day will be charged.
• In case of a no-show for the vehicle pick-up, there will be no option for a refund of the prepayment made.
Are there deductibles for incidents/events?
• The maximum deductible amount payable, in case our accident coverages are not included, is 50 UF + VAT (this applies in cases of Total Loss, Rollover, or Theft).
• The amount payable as a deductible in cases of minor damage, third parties, and civil liability, is 30 UF + VAT.
• If you are interested in reducing the risk of paying these deductibles, you can inquire about our coverages (SACA, CDW Plus, FDW).
Is it possible to cross into Argentina with the rented vehicles?
Recasur Rent a Car allows border crossing only into Argentina. Recasur Rent a Car provides a special permit, which must be requested at least 3 business days prior to your reservation. Once the reservation is made, passengers must contact our Reservations Center (phone 56-61-2363136 email reservas@recasur-rac.com) and send the following documentation: Driver’s License and Passport. The fees for the permit will be informed to you and must be prepaid before the start of your rental.
Can I choose the color or model of the vehicle?
Recasur Rent a Car confirms the vehicle category, not the specific model, color, or brand.
