Overview
The Los Pingüinos Natural Monument protects one of the largest and most accessible colonies of Magellanic penguins in Chile. Located in the Strait of Magellan, across from Punta Arenas, it allows visitors to walk along marked trails while observing thousands of seabirds in a pristine environment. It is ideal for wildlife and photography enthusiasts.Visitor Information
Visiting season: The penguin colony settles on the island to breed between September/October and March. Excursions to the island are only offered during this period.Coordinates
